Azerbaijan, Baku, April 16 / Trend , A.Badalova/
The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said the average price of U.S. WTI light crude oil will likely hit $63 per barrel in 2010.
EIA April report says the growth oil prices will be observed thanks to the expected recovery of the world economy. EIA forecasts growth of GDP at 2.6 percent in 2010.
The average price on WTI will be $53 per barrel this year.
"The recovery of the global economy, low oil price production by non-OPEC countries, given the low oil prices and tension in financial markets, may lead to immediate increase of oil prices," the report says.
The March 15 auction at the New York Merchantile Exchange (NYMEХ) resulted in a decrease in WTI May futures by $0.16 to $49.25 per barrel.
The EIA is a statistical agency at the U.S. Energy Department established by the Congress in 1977.
