In the next three years, annual electricity production capacity in Iran will grow to 150,000 megawatts, Iranian FARS news agency quotes the chairman of the Iranian parliamentary committee on privatization Hamid-Reza Fuladgar, as saying.
"At present, the country produces annually 40,000 megawatts of electricity. This figure will grow to 150,000 megawatts in the next three years," Fuladgar said.
"Five thousand megawatts of this volume will be produced using alternative energy sources (solar, wind and water)," he said.
