Oil production in Libya reached 840,000 barrels per day, the country's National Oil Company said on Thursday.
According to the report, Libya intends to reach oil production level at 1.6 million barrels per day.
Libya's proven oil reserves are 45 billion barrels. Before the revolution the country produced 1.5 million barrels of oil per day.
As the company told Trend earlier, there are still many unexplored prospective structures in Libya, and the authorities intend to begin their exploration jointly with foreign companies soon.
