There is a 50 percent progress in the implementation of an auxiliary project related to the transportation of crude oil from the Goureh oil terminal in Iran’s Bushehr province in southern Iran to the Jask oil terminal in the Gulf of Oman, CEO of the Iranian Petroleum Engineering and Development Company Touraj Dehqani said, Trend reports referring to National Iranian Petroleum Company (NIOC).
Dehqani noted that there is a 25 percent progress regarding the main project’s implementation.
The CEO added that although the project’s implementation began a few years ago, the work actually was intensified last summer and this progress has been achieved in a short period of time.
“Therefore, it is expected that the auxiliary part of the Goureh-Jask oil pipeline project will be commissioned next Iranian year (from March 21, 2020),” Dehqani said.
A total of 15 contractor companies are involved in the project. At the same time, three Iranian companies are engaged in the production of 50 pipeline pumps.
The construction of the 1,000-kilometer pipeline with more than $1.8 billion of funds is on the agenda of NIOC and carried out by local contractors.
