BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 18. Azerbaijan's electricity generation from hydropower stations stood at over 1.50 billion kWh from January through May 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates
that this denotes a surge of 326.7 million kilowatt-hours, equating
to a 27.7 percent escalation, relative to the corresponding
timeframe of the preceding year.
In the specified temporal interval, the sector encompassing
electricity, gas, and steam generation, along with distribution and
supply mechanisms, yielded an output of goods and services valued
at 1.51 billion manat ($888.2 million).
The aggregate valuation of commodities and services within the
hydrological supply chain, encompassing effluent processing and
refuse management domains, reached a substantial 252.9 million
manat ($148.7 million).
