BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. Hydropower plants in Azerbaijan generated 1.843 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity from January through June 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that this figure represents an increase of 279.7 million kilowatt-hours or 17.9 percent compared to the same period last year.
In addition, the data reports that the electricity, gas, and steam production, distribution, and supply sector produced goods and services worth 1.73 billion manat ($1 billion) from January through June 2025. Meanwhile, the value of products generated in the water supply, waste management, and treatment sector reached 312.9 million manat ($184 million).
