PremiumSOCAR has 6741 active wells

Since the beginning of the year the fund of active wells of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) comprised 6741, or 163 wells down as compared to period as of 1 January 2005. The wells of the oil and gas producing units of the Azneft Production Association, make up 4959, or 703 wells down as compared to the period as of 1 January 2005. In this period 199 wells were included in the Fund, while 903 excluded.

Since the beginning of the year the fund of active wells of the onshore joint ventures and operating companies comprised 1782, 541 wells more as compared to period as of 1 January 2005. In 2004 a total of 1241 wells were under the balance of the SOCAR.

In this period 842 wells were included in the Fund, while 301 excluded.
