Technical work in the first well on the Shah Deniz field is complete and the gas production continued, Trend reports. After the rehabilitation of production gas will be directed at settling Azerbaijan gas debts used for pressing the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzerum pipeline. The approximate volume of gas used in this respect comprised around 36mln cu m.
Gas to be lifted from the first well will be more probably sold to Azerbaijan, but further to Georgia and Turkey following the commissioning of other wells on the field.
Trend has been informed at Р'Р Azerbaijan, an operator of the Shah Deniz project that by the end of this year two wells drilled within the framework of the pre-drilling program will be commissioned in the field. At present gas produced from Shah Deniz is delivered for the exploitation of rigs at the Sangachal terminal.
