In 2018 some 2.6 trillion tenge ($6.86 billion) were allocated on the realization of 12 Kazakhstan State programs, Alikhan Smailov, the Minister of Finances of Kazakhstan said, Trend reports via Kazinform.
Smailov made the remarks during the presentation of the government's report on the republic budget performance for 2018.
“In the reporting period 2.6 trillion tenge ($6.86 billion) of different funding sources were allocated on the realization of 12 Kazakhstan State programs. The Accounts Committee named some methodological imperfections made during the development of State programs. These comments will be accepted for consideration by government. We are to take them into account when improving the system of state planning,” the minister said.
“Furthermore, the achievements made within the programs' realization are also there. For example, in the reporting year within the Nurly Zhol program 86,177 new workplaces were created, as well as 329 km of transmission lines. The percentage of roads of regional and district significance in the fair condition increased by two percent and amounted to 68 percent,” Smailov said.
“Within the framework of creating new industrial growth locations through realization of industry-forming projects the number of those employed in the processing industry in 2018 amounted to 545,300 people. Furthermore, four Kazakh export brands were launched. They export organic products, halal products, meat and butter.
Some 107 billion tenge were allocated on Program of the Productive Employment of the Population. The number of the program's participants amounted to 628,000 people. The number of those employed equaled 484,400 people, 76 percent of which account for permanent jobs.
