Uzbekistan's Uzpromstroybank has attracted funds for a total amount equivalent to $50 million through private placement of three-year unsecured credit notes in local currency among international investors, Trend reports with reference to Governmental portal of Uzbekistan.
Uzpromstroybank successfully completed a significant transaction with Eaton Vance Management and its affiliate funds, which acted as a leading investor in the bank's loan notes.
"This loan is denominated in Uzbek sums, which allowed to reduce currency risks of the bank. The proceeds of the loan will be used to finance small and medium business sector, which plays an important role in ensuring economic growth and job creation in the country," the message said.
Eaton Vance Management and its affiliate funds (Eaton Vance) provide advanced solutions to investors around the world. As of April 30, 2020, consolidated assets under the management of Eaton Vance amounted to $465.3 billion.
Catara Consulting Europe structured the loan and White & Case LLP and Kinstellar acted as legal counsel.
