BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. The average monthly salary of employees in Baku grew from January through August 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the Baku City Statistics Department shows that this figure amounted to 1,258 manat ($740), up 7.2 percent compared to the first eight months of 2023.
To note, the average monthly nominal salary of wage earners in Azerbaijan increased by eight percent from January through August 2024 compared to the same period last year and amounted to 997.1 manat ($592.1).
In 2023, the average monthly nominal wage of employees in Baku was 1,183 manat ($695.88).
