The project is being implemented under a March 24, 2025 presidential resolution and envisages the construction of facilities to generate electricity by incinerating municipal solid waste in Uzbekistan's Kashkadarya and Samarkand regions.
The project, scheduled for implementation from 2025 through 2027, is expected to attract $300 million in foreign direct investment.
“The project is expected to attract $300 million in foreign direct investment between 2025 and 2027, with construction and installation work currently progressing in stages,” the statement said.
