ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 8. Kazakhstan's imports from Albania decreased in 2022, Trend reports.
Data from the International Trade Center shows that imports from Albania to Kazakhstan in 2022 amounted to $422,000, which decreased by 1.1 percent less than in the same period in 2021. The main items imported from Albania are clothing ($306,400), which accounts for 72.5 percent of the total volume, as well as paper and cardboard products ($14,900) - 3.5 percent.
Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Albania amounted to only $7.7 million in 2022, an increase of 24 percent compared to 2021.
In 2022, Albania's total trade turnover amounted to $12.7 billion, of which exports amounted to $4.3 billion and imports amounted to $8.4 billion. Albania's main trading partners in 2022 are Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, Greece, and Macedonia.
The foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan in January through June 2023 amounted to $67.2 billion. In nominal terms, trade turnover increased by 4.3 percent compared to January through June 2022. Exports: $38 billion (in nominal terms, 10.3 percent less), imports: $29.2 billion (32.2 percent more in nominal terms).
