ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 6. The volume of QR payments in Kazakhstan amounted to 3.3 trillion tenge (about $7.47 billion) in the first quarter of 2024, Trend reports.
According to the National Bank of Kazakhstan, in total, during the above period, 652.5 million QR payment transactions were carried out.
In total, in the first quarter of 2024, 2.67 billion non-cash payment transactions were carried out in Kazakhstan. The total volume of transactions amounted to 32.9 trillion tenge.
Meanwhile, in 2023, more than 1.5 billion QR payment transactions were carried out in Kazakhstan in the amount of 8.5 trillion tenge (about $19.2 billion).
Furthermore, last year, almost 11.3 billion non-cash payment transactions were carried out in Kazakhstan. The volume of non-cash payments exceeded 142 trillion tenge (about $320 billion).
