BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 21. Tajikistan's Ministry of Agriculture has shared an updated data on country's cotton production, Trend reports citing the ministry's press service.
The total volume of cotton production in Tajikistan as of September 16, 2022 amounted to 79,911 tons.
"To date, a total of 12,399 tons have been collected in the Sughd region, and 66,917 tons in the Khatlon region," the ministry said.
According to the ministry's projections, a total of 425,000 tons of cotton should be collected in Tajikistan this year.
In the meantime, it is anticipated that from Tajikistan 60,000 tons of cotton worth $89.9 million will be exported this year, according to the Forecast of the Main Macroeconomic Indicators of Tajikistan for 2022-2024.
