BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, January 16. The average nominal monthly salary of a worker in Kyrgyzstan, excluding minor enterprises, amounted to 36,055 soms ($412) from January through November 2024, which is a 12.4 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the real wage, adjusted for the consumer price index, rose by 7.1 percent.
The increase in the growth rate of average nominal wages was observed across all sectors of the economy in January–November 2024, compared to the same period in the previous year.
The most significant wage growth occurred in the wholesale and retail trade and the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector, which saw an increase of 31.8 percent. Other notable increases were recorded in construction (28.6 percent), real estate operations (25.6 percent), financial intermediation and insurance (24 percent), other service activities (23.9 percent), professional, scientific, and technical activities (21.7 percent), and mining (20.9 percent).
Meanwhile, consumer prices and tariffs in Kyrgyzstan increased by 6.3 percent in 2024 compared to the end of December 2023.
