Baku, Azerbaijan, June 20. Tajikistan has increased the volume of agricultural production from January through May 2022, Trend reports citing Avesta.Tj.
The value of Tajikistan's agricultural production in the first five months of 2022 amounted to 5.4 billion somoni ($504.6 million), which is 9 percent more compared to the same period of last year.
In Tajikistan about 80,000 tons of grains, 38,700 tons of potatoes, 330,400 tons of vegetables and other agricultural products were produced from January through May 2022.
The total value of crop production in Tajikistan in the reporting period amounted to 1.9 billion somoni ($177.5 million) - an increase of 10.7 percent compared to 2021.
Meanwhile, Tajikistan's livestock production value from January through May 2022 totaled 3.5 billion somoni ($327.1 million), which is an increase of 8.1 percent compared to the same period of last year.
