BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. Tajikistan's foreign trade turnover significantly increased from January through May 2022, Trend reports with reference to the Customs Service of Tajikistan.
Tajikistan’s foreign trade turnover from January through May 2022, increased by 20.8 percent compared to the same period of last year ($2.4 billion) to $2.9 billion.
In the first five months of 2022, Tajikistan's top trading partners were Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, and Uzbekistan.
According to the Customs, Tajikistan in the reporting period of 2022 imported goods worth $1.9 billion, which is 25.8 percent more than in the same period in 2021 ($1.5 billion).
The total value of exported goods from Tajikistan amounted to $1 billion, which is 5.5 percent less compared to the same period of last year ($947 million).
