President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov will pay a working visit to Tehran in late August, where he will attend a summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, an official Turkmen source said.
At the government meeting, the head of state said that "neutral Turkmenistan is consistently committed to its constructive foreign policy, aimed at the development of fruitful cooperation both at the international and multilateral level, through the competent international organizations and structures".
In this context, the President stressed the importance of the scheduled visit to Iran.
Non-Aligned Movement is an international organization, uniting 120 countries on the principles of non-participation in military blocs, was established in 1961.
The next summit of the Non-Aligned Movement will be held in Tehran on Aug.26-31. During the summit presidency in this organization within the next three years will be transferred to Iran.
