ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 8. Turkmenistan and the Saratov region of Russia have identified the most promising areas of bilateral partnership, Trend reports.
The Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan Guych Garayev, who was on a working visit to the Saratov region, discussed these areas of cooperation with the head of the regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alexey Antonov and the regional Minister of Economic Development Andrey Razborov.
During the meeting, the parties were able to focus on three key areas of cooperation: metallurgy, oil and gas equipment, export of higher education and tourism.
At the same time, they discussed the prospects for the visit of the Saratov region business delegation to Turkmenistan, which may take place as early as next year.
"Turkmenistan is quite an interesting partner in the international market for Russia. Therefore, in my opinion, it is not worth putting off building relationships. Moreover, it can be either a visit by our entrepreneurs to a neighboring country, or a reverse business mission. At the same time, our partners may be interested in the tourist attractiveness of the region, as well as the development of training programs in Saratov universities for foreign students," Antonov said.
The Turkmen diplomat, in turn, stressed that all the necessary conditions are being created in his country for the harmonious development of business, as evidenced by the wide geography of partnership with Russian regions.
