BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 29. Iran's imports of essential commodities (barley, pressed soybeans, oilseeds, etc.) increased by 17.1 percent in value and 26.2 percent in weight during two months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through May 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through May 21, 2023), the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.
Iran imported 4.02 million tons of essential goods worth $2.37 billion during two months.
During the same period last year, Iran imported 3.18 million tons of essential products worth $2.03 billion.
