Iran's IRENEX sheds light on its weekly sale figures

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 11. The value of sales on the Iranian Energy Exchange (IRENEX) was 77.6 trillion rials (about $134 million) in the last Iranian week (January 4-8, 2025).

Data obtained by Trend from IRENEX shows that the exchange sold 294,000 tons of hydrocarbon products worth 70.2 trillion rials (about $121 million) during this period. Of this total, 164,000 tons of products valued at 15.9 trillion rials (about $27.5 million) accounted for the domestic section, while 130,000 tons worth 54.2 trillion rials (about $93.7 million) - the international section of the exchange.

Additionally, the Energy Exchange sold 1.13 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity worth 2.08 trillion rials (about $3.59 million).

The value of other sales amounted to 3.7 trillion rials (about $6.3 million).

The sale of hydrocarbon products on Iran's Energy Exchange is of enormous importance. Through the exchange, the country is trying to provide hydrocarbon products needed by local companies, as well as increase exports.
