U.S President George Bush held phone conversation with Mikheil Saakashvili, President of Georgia, on the last day of his presidency, Prime-News reported.
According to the press service of the White House, Bush held phone conversations with Dmitry Medvedev, President of the Russian Federation, Vladimer Putin, Russian Premier Minister, and high officials of Israel, Great Britain, Brasilia, Japan, South Korea, Dania, France and Germany as well.
Today is the last day of Bush's presidency; Inauguration of President-elect Barak Obama will take place today, on January 20.
