The 'Energy Efficiency Centre - Georgia' union in partnership with the 'Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine' are implementing the project called 'A model of strengthening the mayors' agreements for Georgia and Ukraine: the model solutions for the Eastern Partnership and Central Asia'.
The union reported that a project is being funded by the EU. Its purpose is to assist local bodies in Georgia and Ukraine to strengthen energy security, reduce dependence on fossil fuels and greenhouse gases and to improve the lives of its citizens. The target groups of the project are public servants, including employees of municipalities and residents of project cities, a representation office of 'Support for Agreement' recently founded in Georgia and employees of the 'Energy Agency of Mayors' Agreements' and Georgian and Ukrainian experts operating in the energy sector.
'Energy Efficiency Centre - Georgia', announced the process of choosing the candidates for participation in a training course of consultants 'Mayors' Agreements'.
The course consists of four, three-day stages. After the successful completion of the courses the consultants will be able to render consultations in developing the plans for sustainable energy development.
