A police officer suffered a slight wound during the shoot-out at the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul, RIA Novosti reported citing Turkish Hurriyet newspaper August 19.
Earlier it was reported that a shoot-out occurred near the Dolmabahce Palace, which houses the official residence of the Turkish prime minister.
Police have detained two suspects with machine guns near the consulate of Germany.
According to witnesses, two unidentified persons attacked a security checkpoint at the entrance of the palace. They first blew up stun grenades, and then opened fire at the police officers.
The movement on the nearby streets has been blocked. Ambulances have arrived at the scene.
