From January through October 2019, the export of the Turkish goods to D-8 countries (Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan) increased by 5.3 percent compared to the same period in 2018, and amounted to over $6.2 billion, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Trade Ministry.
“In October 2019, the export of the Turkish goods to the D-8 countries decreased by 6 percent, compared to October 2018, having amounted to $638.3 million,” the ministry said.
From January through October 2019, the import of goods by Turkey from the D-8 countries decreased by 33.3 percent, compared to the same period of 2018, and amounted to over $7.9 billion.
“In October 2019, the import of the goods by Turkey from the D-8 countries decreased by 45.8 percent, compared to October 2018, having amounted to $548.5 million,” the ministry said.
Turkey’s foreign trade amounted to $34.5 billion in October 2019.
In October 2019, the export of Turkish goods decreased by 1.53 percent compared to October 2018, and amounted to $16.3 billion.
The import of goods to Turkey increased by 10.8 percent in October 2019 compared to the corresponding month of 2018 and reached $18.2 billion.
From January through October, Turkey’s foreign trade amounted to $320.9 billion.
