Türkiye increases leather exports to Kyrgyzstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 7. The export of leather goods from Türkiye to Kyrgyzstan increased by 24.8 percent from January through October of this year compared to the same period last year and amounted to $12.6 million, Trend reports via the Turkish Trade Ministry.

“In October this year, leather goods worth $704,042 were exported from Türkiye to Kyrgyzstan, which is 23.4 percent more than in October last year,” the statement of the Ministry reads.

Meanwhile, exports of leather goods from Türkiye decreased by 19.7 percent from January through October 2024 compared to the same period last year and amounted to $1.3 billion.

“Türkiye exported leather products worth $132.7 million in October this year, which is 1.3 percent less than in October last year,” the statement of the ministry noted.

To note, Türkiye exported leather goods worth $1.5 billion in the last 12 months (from October 2023 through October 2024).
