BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 22. Türkiye's Kocaeli port received 8,224 ships from January through November 2024, Trend reports via the Turkish Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.

According to the ministry, Kocaeli port received 2,443 vessels under the flag of Türkiye and 5,781 vessels under the flags of other countries during the mentioned period.

Meanwhile, in November 2024, the ports of Türkiye accepted 32.4 million tons of cargo.

During this period, cargo traffic from Turkish-flagged vessels to domestic ports amounted to 2.4 million tons.

The cargo traffic of vessels under the flags of other countries to Turkish ports amounted to 30.03 million tons, the ministry said.

Additionally, in November 2024, the ports of Türkiye transported about 5.9 million tons of transit cargo.

The ministry's data indicates that the Turkish ports handled 363.8 million tons of cargo from January through November 2024.

“The cargo reception by Turkish-flagged vessels amounted to 27.5 million tons. Meanwhile, by vessels under the flags of other countries, cargo transportation to the ports of Türkiye amounted to 336.3 million tons,” the information says.

According to the statement, the ports of Türkiye transported 63.5 million tons of transit cargo from January through November 2024.

Türkiye's ports received 4,373 vessels in November of this year.

Information shows that during this period, the number of vessels accepted in Turkish ports under the flags of other countries amounted to 2,966, and the number of vessels admitted under the flag of Türkiye amounted to 1,407.

The ports of Türkiye welcomed 56,086 vessels in the period from January through November 2024.

“During this period, Turkish ports accepted 36,550 vessels under the flags of other countries and 19,536 vessels under the Turkish flag,” the ministry added.
