BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 9. Exports of Turkish steel products to Uzbekistan increased by 10 percent from January through December 2024, compared to the same month in 2023, and equaled $70.7 million, Trend reports via the Turkish Trade Ministry's data.
"Türkiye’s reported metal product exports to Uzbekistan were valued at $6.4 million in December 2024, reflecting a significant increase of 4.2 percent compared to the same period last year," the ministry statement read.
Moreover, Türkiye’s steel exports to the world markets saw a jump of 8.7 percent year-on-year from January to December 2024, hitting a grand total of $16.1 million.
"Türkiye exported steel valued at $1.4 million in December 2024, marking a 7.3 percent increase compared to the same month last year," the ministry said.
To note, in the fiscal year spanning December 2023 through December 2024, Türkiye's aggregate steel exportation to international markets reached a substantial figure of $16.1 million.
