BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 13. Turkish exports of carpets to Egypt decreased by 30.8 percent from January through December 2024 compared to the same period in 2023 and totaled $1.7 million, Trend reports via the Turkish Ministry of Trade.
“Türkiye exported carpets worth $157,064 to Egypt in December 2024, which is 65.7 times more than in December 2023,” the statement of the ministry reads.
Meanwhile, Türkiye's carpet exports increased by 4.2 percent year-on-year to $2.8 billion in the period from January through December 2024.
“In December last year, Türkiye exported carpets worth $247.4 million, a 3.2 percent decrease compared to December 2023,” the information notes.
To note, over the past 12 months (from December 2023 through December 2024), Türkiye has exported carpets worth $2.8 billion.
