BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 17. Türkiye's leather exports to Egypt increased by 21.1 percent from January through December 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, hitting $7.8 million, Trend reports via the Turkish Ministry of Trade.
“Türkiye exported $705,076 worth of leather to Egypt in December 2024, which is 75.7 percent more than in December 2023,” the statement of the ministry reads.
Meanwhile, Türkiye's leather exports from January through December 2024 decreased by 17.9 percent year-on-year to $1.5 billion.
“In December last year, Türkiye exported leather worth $110.1 million, down 4.6 percent compared to December 2023,” the information notes.
To note, over the past 12 months (from December 2023 through December 2024), Türkiye exported leathers worth $1.5 billion.
