OSCE high commissioner, Georgian FM talk about situation in Gali region

The human rights situation in the Abkhazia's Gali region was discussed at a meeting between OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Knut Vollebaek and Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze in Tbilisi today.

Georgia says the situation with Georgians in Abkhazia is unacceptable. They do not have the opportunity to study in their mother tongue and have limited mobility.

Vollebaek will discuss the issue in Sukhumi. He is heading to Abkhazia today where he will meet with the separatist leaders.

Vollebaek will also meet with Georgian State Reintegration Minister Temur Yakobashvili, Deputy Prime Minister Giorgi Baramidze and Resettlement and Refugees Minister Koba Subeliani to discuss the situation in conflict areas and national minorities in Georgia.
