The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) decided against suspending the Armenian delegation's voting rights in the winter session. The PACE Monitoring Committee will continue to assess the country's commitments to the organization.

On Dec. 17, the PACE Monitoring Committee proposed canceling the voting rights of the Armenian delegation due to poor investigations into the March events in Yerevan. The delegation composes 8 people.

The Armenian opposition launched mass demonstrations in the center of Yerevan on Feb. 20 as a protest against the presidential election in February and Serzh Sarkisyan's victory. The demonstrators clashed with law enforcement agencies on March 1. Dozens of people died and 265 were injured.

PACE members said suspending a country's voting rights is the last way out of a situation.
