Kazakh president to visit Beijing on April 15-19

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev will visit Beijing at the invitation of China President Hu Tsintao on April 15-19, Chinese Ambassador Chen Gopin said.

"China pays a great significance to this visit," Gopin said.

During the visit to China Nazarbayev will meet with President Hu Tsintao, Standing Committee of Chinese People Representative Assembly U Bango and State Council Premier Ven Tzabo. Nazarbayev will attend an economic forum in Boao.

"The sides will ink relevant documents on cooperation in different spheres, including the energy sphere," Gopin said.

The promotion of the Kazakh-Chinese strategic partnership, deepening of the cooperation between the two countries in different spheres, as well as share of thoughts on regional and international problems, including ways to overcome global financial crisis will be reviewed.

In 2008, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and China reached $17.550 million, which is more by 26.5 percent compared to 2007.
