Azerbaijani ambassador to Georgia elected foreign members of Gelati Academy

On April 10, during the eighth scientific session of Gelati Academy of Sciences of the Patriarchate of Georgia, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia, Doctor of Law, Professor Namik Aliyev was elected a foreign member of the Academy.

On April 10, during the eighth scientific session of Gelati Academy of Sciences of the Patriarchate of Georgia, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia, Doctor of Law, Professor Namik Aliyev was elected a foreign member of the Academy.

This is the second representative of the Azerbaijan Republic, awarded with such high rank, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia reported. The first one was the late Professor Rovshan Mustafayev - Director of the Institute for Human Rights of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

As honorary and foreign members of the Gelati Academy were elected representatives of Germany, France and Poland. During the last election, the former Iranian President Mohammad Khatami was also elected as a foreign member.

Gelati Academy of Sciences of Georgia was founded by David Stroitel in 1106, which united the country in the twelfth century, created conditions for the development of religion, science and art.
