The Azerbaijani Embassy in Serbia held an event devoted to the 88th birth anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The event was attended by representatives of the Serb and the Muslim communities, leadership of the Belgrade City Hall, leaders of the Serbian-Azerbaijan Commerce Chamber and Azerbaijani Culture Center in Belgrade, Azerbaijanis studying in Serbia and the media.
At the event, Azerbaijani Ambassador Eldar Hasanov spoke about the life and work of Aliyev, his merits and essential role in strengthening Azerbaijan's independence and building a democratic country.
The event held a presentation of a book devoted to Aliyev from the series "Life of Eminent Persons" translated into the Serbian language. The authors are Huseynbala Miralamov and Victor Andrianov. The presentation was organized by the embassy and Azerbaijani Culture Center.
