Roughly 28 football players were drawn to Azerbaijani squad.
Head coach of Azerbaijani national soccer team Berti Fogts changed a staff of football players for participation in training of the team to be launched on April 20.
Fogts drew Russian football player Daniel Ahtyanov, 24, first during leadership of the squad. Forward, playing 6 matches for the squad, conducted his last match in the national team between English and Azerbaijani squads (2:0) in Newcastle on March 31, 2005.
Rashad Sadigov and Branimir Subashich, playing in Turkey and China, will not join trainings as they do not coincide with time delivered by the Azerbaijani Association of Football Federations for squads. Alexander Chertoganov, Tural Jalilov, Tural Narimanov, Zaur Tagizade, Usim Nduka, Araz Abdullayev, Vladimir Levin and Zeynal Zeynalov not participating in the last trainings were invited for playing in the team.
Goalkeepers: Farkhad Veliyev (Karabakh), Rauf Mekhtiyev (Olimpik), Selakhet Agayev (Inter).
Full-backs: Makhir Shukurov, Usim Nduka (Olimpik), Rail Melikov (Neftchi), Sergey Sokolov (Simurg), Tural Narimanov, Ernani Pereyra (Karvan), Sasha Ynisoglu, Jamshid Maharramov (Baku), Vladimir Levin, Samir Abbasov (Inter).
Half-backs: Rakhid Amirguliyev (Khazar-Lankaran), Tural Jalilov, Alexander Chertoganov (Simurg), Elmar Bakhshiyev, Araz Abdullayev, Zaur Tagizade (Neftchi), Agil Nabiyev (Olimpik), Elvin Mammadov, Javid Huseynov (Inter), Fabio Luis Ramim (Baku), Zeynal Zeynalov (Standard).
