The most unusual participants of Eurovision 2012, Buranovskiye Babushki, from Russia, had their rehearsal in Baku at Baku Crystal Hall. The band will perform in the first semi-final of contest with the song, "Party for Everybody."
Buranovskiye Babushki is a folk band from Malopurginsk region of Udmurtia, from the village of Buranovo, performing a variety of hits in the Udmurt language, rehashing well-known Russian and foreign performers.
The ensemble was founded over 40 years ago. For the first time the band began to perform rehashing in the Udmurt language in 2008. On the Day of the mother tongue in the Udmurt Philharmonic the Babushki sang popular songs by Boris Grebenshchikov and Viktor Tsoi in the Udmurt language. Since then they have repeatedly been in the spotlight of press and television.

The 57th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in the Baku Crystal Hall near State Flag Square. The semi-finals will be held in Baku on May 22 and May 24 and the final on May 26. The logo for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest is 'Fire Flower', while the motto is Light your fire.
Azerbaijan won the right to host the prestigious European song contest after the victory of Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell / Nikki) at Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany last May.
