On November 2, a joint event of the UNO and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Justice took place in Baku, Law Defender Chingiz Ganiyev told Trend.
The event was organized within the project for strengthening the possibilities and infrastructure for the propaganda and protection of human rights in Azerbaijan. The event focused on the rights of the arrested citizens till the court session. Collection of the international standards was presented.
The representatives of the Justice Ministry and UNO organized debates on the arrests and punishment till the court. A special attention was paid to the issue that Azerbaijanis should know their rights and behaviors in moment of arrest, Ganiyev stressed.
