BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 9. The Azerbaijan Fashion Retail Association (AFRA) plans to expand its ranks by attracting more participants and increasing the number of brands represented in the Azerbaijani market, AFRA head Farid Novruzi told Trend.
According to him, the association currently includes 26 importers with 230 stores representing 82 brands.
Novruzi noted that AFRA, which started its activities in early 2022, plans to continue organizing a dialogue between the industry and government agencies. This dialog is aimed at addressing key issues, including textile development, e-commerce, and special benefits.
"We continue to cooperate with our colleagues to simplify conditions for importers and hope that the measures taken will contribute to the formation of a quality fashion industry in Azerbaijan. This industry can become one of the leading sectors of the country's economy, attracting foreign investors and contributing to the growth of revenues to the state budget, as well as increasing non-cash payments," Novruzi emphasized.
