BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. The output of foundry steel in Azerbaijan has significantly increased from January through August 2024, marking a notable rise of nearly 25 percent compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee, the manufacturing of metallurgical products and finished metal increased by over 28 percent to 887.4 million manat ($693 million) from 693 million manat ($408 million) during the same period in the previous year.

To note, the manufacturing value of products of the metallurgical industry and finished metal products in Azerbaijan decreased in 2023 compared to 2022 by 12.57 percent to 1.1 billion manat ($684 million).
