ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 25. Kazakhstan and Russian Gazprom have signed an agreement on the main terms for processing and selling gas from the Karachaganak field, Trend reports.
A working meeting was held between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Board of Gazprom, and Roman Sklyar, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The parties discussed the progress and prospects of cooperation, particularly in the areas of gas supply and transportation. As a result of the meeting, an agreement was signed on the main terms for processing and selling gas from the Karachaganak field for 2025–2026.
In October 2023, the supply of Russian natural gas to consumers in the Republic of Uzbekistan through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan began. The supplies are organized in reverse mode along a specially designated route based on the "Central Asia—Center" main gas pipeline system.
In November 2023, Gazprom and the Government of Kazakhstan signed an Agreement on Strategic Cooperation.
