ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 27. The Novosibirsk and Pavlodar regions of Russia and Kazakhstan, respectively, have signed a cooperation development program for the years 2025-2027, Trend reports.
The 20th Forum of Interregional Cooperation, which took place in the Russian city of Ufa, saw the signing of this agreement.
Akim (the governor) of the Pavlodar region, Asain Baihanov, noted that the regions have a long history of mutual relations, particularly in the cultural sphere, not to mention the economy.
"30 percent of the trade turnover of the Pavlodar region is with the Novosibirsk and Omsk regions. We cooperate very closely with our beneficial neighbor, especially in the field of culture. We will strictly follow all our agreements and develop our relations," said the Akim.
More than 300 regional projects are with Novosibirsk, he added. These include not only large enterprises but also small and medium-sized businesses.
To note, on November 26-27, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the city of Ufa, is hosting the 20th Forum of the Regions of Russia and Kazakhstan. Over the years, this forum has become a traditional platform for dialogue between representatives of the two countries. The forum is also expected to include the signing of an updated cooperation agreement between the Omsk and North Kazakhstan regions.
