BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 21. Azerbaijan produced 59,800 tons of steel casting from January through February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that this figure grew by 2,800 tons, or 4.9 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
The stock of finished steel casting products reached 3,000 tons as of March 1, 2025.
Meanwhile, the production of rebar in Azerbaijan totaled 69,000 tons in the first two months of this year, reflecting a substantial rise of 10,500 tons, or 17.9 percent year-on-year.
The country’s stock of finished rebar products as of March 1, 2025, stood at 47,600 tons.
In the metallurgical industry and the manufacturing of finished metal products, products worth 190.9 million manat ($112.29 million) were produced in the country from January through February 2025.
Compared to the same period of last year, manufacturing of metallurgical industry products decreased by 5.9 percent, and the manufacturing of finished metal products - by nine percent.
