ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 10. The area of cultivated land in Kazakhstan's Pavlodar region will reach 1.69 million ha in 2025, 123,000 ha more than in 2024, Trend reports.

The main focus will be on expanding the sowing of grain, oilseed, and forage crops.

"Grain crops will cover 953.200 hectares, oilseeds 395.600 hectares, forage crops 304.300 hectares, potatoes 26,000 hectares, vegetables and melons 8.4 thousand hectares, and others. Additionally, the area of irrigated land will total 82.100 hectares," the Ministry of Agriculture’s press service noted.

The department also mentioned that more than 6,200 units of agricultural machinery will be involved to ensure timely and high-quality execution of all stages of the sowing campaign. This will ensure uninterrupted land processing and the implementation of all agronomic activities within optimal agricultural timelines.

"For the spring field works, the region's farmers are fully supplied with seed material — 164.500 tons of seeds," the ministry added.

As part of state support for agricultural producers, 4.1 billion tenge (approximately $7.79 million) will be allocated to the Pavlodar region in subsidies. These funds are intended for the purchase of seeds, mineral fertilizers, and pesticides, which will significantly reduce the financial burden on farmers and ensure the stability of the agricultural season.
