BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 22. Azerbaijan imported a total of 15.9 million kWh of electricity from Russia from January through February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee indicates that the cost of importing this volume of electricity was $478,000.
Meanwhile, the volume of electricity imports from Russia decreased by 0.8 million kWh (4.8 percent), and the value decreased by $3,000 (0.6 percent) compared to the same period last year (16.7 million kWh, worth $481,000).
To note, during the first two months of this year, Azerbaijan totally imported 19 million kWh of electricity worth $581,000. The country imported electricity from Russia, Georgia, and Iran.
