ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 9. The Deputy Akim (Governor) of the Turkestan Region of Kazakhstan, Talgat Kozbekov, met with the Director of Samarkand Irrigation System LLP from the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sanzhar Abilov, and discussed the implementation of new investment projects, Trend reports.
The investors expressed their intention to open a plant for the production of sprinkler and drip irrigation systems in the industrial park of the Sauran district.
The Deputy Akim of the region expressed readiness to implement the joint project and guaranteed the necessary support.
“Welcome to the sacred region of Turkestan! We are pleased that the business trip to Uzbekistan yielded results and a partnership was established. We are always ready to implement new projects that contribute to the region’s economic development and the creation of jobs. Support will be provided in processing documents and ensuring infrastructure,” said Talgat Kozbekov.
In turn, Sanzhar Abilov noted that experienced specialists are ready to train residents in the production of irrigation systems and added that the project’s capacity will be increased in the future.
The investment volume for this project will amount to $3 million. The project, designed to produce 1,750 tons of products per year, is planned to be implemented from 2025 to 2027. As a result, around 50 new jobs will be created.
