ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 19. A total of 14,256 containers on 7,337 fitting platforms were shipped in Kazakhstan's Kostanay region from January through April.
The data obtained by Trend from the Kazakhstani Railways indicates that the volume of loading increased by 71 percent compared to the same period last year, with 224 routes formed during the reporting period.
“Grain crops were shipped on 720 fitting platforms, forming 20 routes. Milled products were transported on 5,062 fitting platforms, forming 162 routes. Compared to last year, the loading volume for this category increased by 102 percent,” Kazakhstan Railways stated.
As many as 852 fitting platforms with asbestos were shipped from Zhitikara station, forming 20 routes. Compared to last year, asbestos shipment increased by 368 percent. Composite fodder was shipped on 703 fitting platforms, forming 22 routes.
