BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31. The volume of business loans granted to the information and communication sector by banks operating in Azerbaijan reached 661.2 million manat ($389 million) as of late April this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that
this metric experienced an uptick of 4.7 million manat ($2.7
million), reflecting a 0.72 percent increase relative to the
conclusion of the preceding month (656.5 million manat, or $386
million).
At the conclusion of April 2025, the aggregate business loan
portfolio for financial institutions engaged in Azerbaijan reached
a substantial 14.95 billion manat (equivalent to $8.8 billion),
reflecting an incremental increase of 17.7 million manat
(approximately $10.4 million), or a marginal uptick of 0.12 percent
relative to the preceding month-end metrics.
As of the conclusion of Q1 2025, the financial institutions in
Azerbaijan reported a business loan portfolio aggregating to 14.9
billion manat, equivalent to approximately $8.8 billion.
Within the aggregate business loan portfolio, a substantial 984.7
million manat (equivalent to $581 million) was constituted by loans
underpinned by state funding mechanisms.
