BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 4. Azerbaijan exported 26,900 tons of methanol (methyl alcohol) to Türkiye from January through March 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee shows that the revenue from this methanol export quantity amounted to $8.5 million.
The volume of methanol exports to Türkiye experienced a
contraction of 3,900 tons, equating to a 12.7 percent decline,
whereas the monetary valuation surged by $2.6 million, reflecting a
robust 44.1 percent increase relative to the corresponding
timeframe of the previous year.
In the corresponding timeframe of the previous fiscal year,
Azerbaijan executed the exportation of 30,800 metric tons of
methanol, generating a revenue stream of $5.9 million to the
Turkish market.
It is noteworthy that during the first quarter of this fiscal year,
Azerbaijan achieved an export volume of 90,700 metric tons of
methanol to international markets. The fiscal yield from this
export volume attained $28.2 million.
Throughout the designated reporting interval, methanol was
transacted from Azerbaijan to various international markets
including Israel, Türkiye, Bulgaria, Romania, Gibraltar, Italy,
Slovenia, and Greece.
